Admar Group Makes Another Acquisition: In its second acquisition in less than a month, the Admar Group of Santa Ana has agreed to purchase Benefit Plan Administrators and Hofgard & Co. of Boulder, Colo., for cash and notes worth $1.6 million, the company announced Wednesday. The agreement is expected to be finalized Oct. 1.

Despite posting a loss of $560,000 on revenues of $5.36 million for the first half of 1992, the Admar Group has continued its planned expansion program financed in part with a $1-million loan from Humana Inc. The loss was attributed to reorganization and increased marketing costs.

The Admar Group develops and markets managed health care programs to help companies reduce their health insurance costs. Benefit Plan Administrators and Hofgard, which have annual revenues in excess of $1.5 million, provide health care benefit management services to employers.
