Wisconsin Increases Pinkerton Holdings to 5%

The State of Wisconsin Investment Board has lifted its holdings in Pinkerton’s Inc. to 5% of the Van Nuys-based provider of security guards and services.

The board, which manages retirement funds for Wisconsin state employees, said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it purchased an additional 224,000 Pinkerton’s shares between June 18 and Aug. 18. The board paid between $15.25 and $16.21 a share for the stock, the filing stated.

Investors are required to report their holdings to the SEC once they amass a stake of 5% or more of a company’s shares.
