Glendale : Large-Item Trash Disposal
Residents and volunteer cleanup crews have tossed out more than 307 tons of old furniture and other bulky items in the first three weeks of a seven-week drive to rid garages, yards and neighborhoods of trash, officials said.
So far, 85 loads of 30-cubic-yard containers have been sent to the dump. Large bins for the free disposal program will be moved Friday to three different neighborhoods, where they will remain until Monday. The new locations:
* 2101 Broadview Drive, at the corner of Clifton Place in La Crescenta.
* across the street from 1425 5th St. on the city’s west side.
* 1201 N. Isabel St. at the corner of Stocker Street in the north-central area.
