Rush as the Medicine Man?

Share

I had to respond to the medical question posed by letter writer Robert W. Black on Sept. 26. Black asked whether the new TV host Rush Limbaugh was “fungal, viral or bacterial.”

Mr. Black, Limbaugh is not a disease, he’s a cure: penicillin for Liberalitis. Limbaugh has a long and successful record of curing brain-damaged liberals. For a cure, one may take a daily dose of Limbaugh for the next six weeks.

As with any powerful, healing (and potentially addictive!) drug, there are some restrictions:

* Limbaugh should always be taken with a full meal (preferably steak or spotted owl).

* Never take Limbaugh while reading The Times’ TV critic, Howard Rosenberg (his liberal comments almost always cause drowsiness and nausea).

In no time at all, one can go from a big-government, bleeding-heart, liberal hypocrite into a normal, law-abiding, tax-paying citizen who takes responsibility for his own actions.
