As a Latino Catholic woman educator and following the lead of Father Juan Santillan, who urges his congregation to boycott L.A. schools if a Latino superintendent is not appointed, I urge all Catholics to boycott Mass until women are admitted to the priesthood, a logical conclusion in ignorance.
Public education needs support, not divisiveness or racism. I would hope politics and ethnic pride, including my own, will be secondary to competence in the selection.
