Third in the NASCAR Winston Cup points...
Third in the NASCAR Winston Cup points race, and seemingly out of the running for the driver championship, Alan Kulwicki will start on the pole for today’s Holly Farms 400 race on the five-eighths of a mile track at Wilkesboro, N.C.

Kulwicki will seek his third victory this season. He also won at Bristol, Tenn., and Pocono, Pa.
