LaPhonso Ellis, the fifth player chosen in the NBA draft last June, signed a five-year contract worth more than $13 million with the Denver Nuggets.
The deal will pay Ellis more than $2.6 million per season, slightly less than Nugget center Dikembe Mutombo’s annual average of $2.75 million.
