GOOD ENOUGH: Laguna Niguel councilwoman Patricia C. Bates has decided against a write-in campaign against Oceanside attorney Bill Morrow, who beat her in the Republican June primary for the 73rd Assembly District seat. Reason: She says Morrow gave her a written apology for last-minute negative primary campaign blasts against her which she claimed were untrue. . . . “We had planned to make a (write-in) move this week,” Bates says. “But he came forward and put politics aside; I’m giving him my support.”
