L.A. Lawyer Takes Helm of State Bar Assn.
Harvey I. Saferstein, a partner in the Century City law firm of Irell & Manella, was sworn in this week as president of the State Bar Assn.
Saferstein, 49 and a Harvard Law School graduate, specializes in business and antitrust litigation. Prior to joining Irell & Manella in 1980, he served as Los Angeles regional director of the Federal Trade Commission and had been a partner in the firm Munger, Tolles, Hills & Rickershauser.
