Third-seeded Agassi, the Wimbledon champion, was eliminated from the Sydney Indoor tournament by hard-serving Patrik Kuhnen of Germany, 6-4, 6-2, Thursday at Sydney, Australia.
Agassi was slowed by a cold and a thigh muscle injury.
"He did everything well," Agassi said. "I'd like to know how many times he hit the lines with winners. When you hit that hard and that close, it makes it difficult to play."

Agassi said the injury to his left leg occurred about 10 days ago and will force him to miss his next scheduled tournament at Tokyo.
Kuhnen's first three serves were aces. He had 23 aces in 10 games and at least one in every game.
