American Mobile to Sell $3.5 Million in Assets

American Mobile Systems Inc., a struggling Woodland Hills-based provider of radio-dispatch and mobile-telephone services, said it agreed to sell most of its Philadelphia-area assets for $3.5 million in cash to Philadelphia Mobile Communications Inc.

The deal, which American Mobile previously announced without disclosing the buyer, still requires approval from the Federal Communications Commission. But American Mobile expects the transaction to close within 120 days.
