PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Knox Has Theory on Slow Starts

Share

The Rams have been outscored, 48-0, in the first quarter. In the final three, the Rams have an 83-68 edge.

Ram Coach Chuck Knox explained his own theory: His young defensive players hit the field over-excited, fall into old, bad habits in the early going, then settle down for the rest of the game.

” . . . Once the game gets underway (and) they have some difficulty,” Knox said, “they realize that, ‘Hey, we’re going to have to play it this way, this is the way we worked on it.’ ”
