Police Seek Help in Finding Missing Elderly Woman

Share

Police are trying to determine the whereabouts of an elderly woman who disappeared Sept. 23.

The woman, Margaret Case, turns 79 today and relatives say she has a mechanical heart valve that requires her to take medication. It is unknown whether she had her medication with her when she disappeared.

Relatives also fear that she may be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and might not remember her identity or where she lives.

“Her family said she hasn’t been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s but that she had been forgetting her name and address recently,” Huntington Beach Police Detective Tom Correll said.

Case, who lived alone, was last seen at her home in the area of Delaware and Main streets in Huntington Beach. Police said she frequently used the bus to run errands in the area.

“At this point, we really have no leads,” Correll said. “But we don’t have any indications of foul play.”

Case is 5 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has blue eyes, reddish gray hair and is missing her upper back teeth.

Anyone with any information on the missing woman is asked to call Correll at (714) 536-5967 or the Huntington Beach Police Department at (714) 960-8806.
