PDA Engineering: The Costa Mesa provider of software products and engineering services said profit for its first fiscal quarter rose 68% to $528,000, or 11 cents a share, from $315,000, or 7 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 showed an 8% gain to $9.2 million from $8.5 million.
