Glendora : Annexation Approved
The City Council last week approved the annexation of 9.6 acres of unincorporated Los Angeles County territory into the city.
Owners of the 13 properties to be annexed, in the vicinity of Leadora Avenue and Yucca Ridge Road, all favor the annexation, Culver Heaton, deputy city manager, said.
The new Glendora residents who spoke at the meeting Tuesday cited less expensive city services and improved law enforcement and fire services as reasons for backing the change.
Two speakers opposed the annexation but they did not live in the area, Heaton said.
