Vandeweghe Leads Clippers Past Cavaliers

RICHFIELD, Ohio — Kiki Vandeweghe made consecutive three-pointers late in the first quarter as the Clippers built a 16-point lead and went on to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 109-93, in an NBA exhibition Saturday night.
Vandeweghe, who signed as a free agent, scored 14 points to share the team lead with Ken Norman and Jaren Jackson. Ron Harper added 13 points.
The Clippers never trailed, opening a 33-17 lead with less than a minute left in the first quarter and building the advantage to 29 at halftime.
They took their biggest lead, 68-38, on Harper’s three-pointer early in the third quarter.
Mark Price led the Cavaliers with 19 points.
