REAL ORANGE CRUSH: From sunup to midafternoon for the next three weeks, residents and businesses near the Costa Mesa Freeway interchange onto the Santa Ana Freeway will be permeated with the noise and dust of Caltrans workers, crushing concrete and asphalt. . . . Caltrans says there’s good news too: Most of the crushed material will be used as road base and fill for the Santa Ana Freeway expansion.
