Enrollment Fees Up at L.A. City College

Share

Los Angeles City College will raise enrollment fees for the spring semester because of new state budget guidelines, college officials reported.

California residents who do not already hold bachelor or graduate degrees will pay $10 per unit with no cap on fees, up from $6 per unit, with a $60 maximum.

State residents who have degrees will have to pay $50 per unit, with no maximum. Exempt, for the time being, are degree holders who are dislocated workers, displaced homemakers or people receiving public assistance. According to school officials, the state has yet to make a decision on fees for such cases.

Tuition for non-resident students will remain $123 per unit plus a $10 per unit enrollment fee.
