Beverly Hills : Magnin Keeps Planning Job
The City Council appointed Jerry Magnin to a second term on the Planning Commission Tuesday.
Magnin has also served on the city’s Traffic and Parking Commission and was named 1990 Citizen of the Year by the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.
The five-member Planning Commission works with the city Planning Department in reviewing residential and commercial requests for zoning changes and city code variances. It is also the approval authority for projects requiring an environmental review.
The city has 11 commissions that review issues and make recommendations to the City Council. Commissioners, who receive no pay, are appointed by the council to a four-year term and may serve a maximum of two terms.
