Ross Perot’s Campaign

Share

It is not the structure of our democracy that is threatened by a Perot candidacy, but the power of the attorney-run Democratic/Republican political machine.

Of course Dershowitz and Fried don’t want you to vote for Perot; like their respective candidates Clinton and Bush, they’re both lawyers. The idea of having a businessman in office, someone who makes money looking for solutions rather than creating problems, scares the striped pants off of them.

As to their point about democracy requiring a consensus among the majority, what kind of consensus can we have when people are so disgusted by the Democrats and Republicans that the majority of people no longer vote? This is something that we should preserve?
