Weapons Team Chief Knows of No Secret Iraq Atom Sites

BAGHDAD, Iraq —
The leader of the U.N. weapons inspectors said Saturday that he is not aware of any secret Iraqi nuclear facilities kept in defiance of Persian Gulf War cease-fire resolutions.
Nikita Smidovich, a Russian, was responding to a CBS television report that said the United Nations had been provided with satellite photographs of an Iraqi facility suspected of being a secret nuclear center.
