Election Polls
After all the ads on TV imploring people to register and vote, the networks are now telling us it does not matter. They plan to project the winner in the presidential race as soon as the polls in the East close (Oct. 20). I remember how empty I felt in 1980 when I was on my way to vote after work and I knew it made no difference. These early projections most certainly hurt other candidates on the ballot.
I urge voters to write or call the network presidents and implore them to hold off until the polls on the West Coast close.
