County Reform Measures
The way to improve Los Angeles County is to keep government small, taxes low and eliminate unnecessary red tape.
However, your approach as recommended by your editorial, “How to Improve L.A. County” (Oct. 14), in support of Propositions B and C on the Nov. 3 ballot, would increase the size of government, and create government gridlock.
It would not result in the hiring of one more law enforcement officer, firefighter, emergency room nurse or child abuse worker. Nor would these propositions provide Los Angeles County residents with a single park, health clinic or library.
