MISSION COLLEGE : Food Drive for Needy Families
Mission College is collecting canned food through Dec. 17 for needy families in the northeast San Fernando Valley.
The drive is being conducted in conjunction with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, said Rudy Garcia, a culinary arts instructor at the college who initiated the effort.
“We want to help make sure everybody eats well every day,” he said.
Canned food can be deposited in a barrel in the college’s Campus Center, 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
