OXNARD : Girl Kidnaped From Parking Lot, Raped
As a male friend watched in horror, a 14-year-old Oxnard girl was kidnaped at gunpoint from an Oxnard beach parking lot early Monday by two men who took the girl away and raped her, police said.
Oxnard police were looking late Monday for the girl’s abductors, who took her from the parking lot in the 2400 block of Mandalay Beach Road about 12:30 a.m.
The teen-ager was sitting in a parked car with a 17-year-old male acquaintance about 12:30 a.m. at Mandalay State Beach when the men approached the vehicle, Sgt. Charles Dunham said.
They held the teen-age boy at gunpoint and ordered the girl to get out of the car, Dunham said. The two men drove the girl to an undisclosed location, where each raped her, he said.
She was released about four hours later, and reported the crime to authorities, Dunham said.
The girl’s friend, a Ventura resident, informed police of her abduction shortly after she was taken away, he said.
Dunham, who is investigating the incident, would not say late Monday if the girl provided a description of the men or if police had identified any suspects.
