Doctor-Assisted Death Measure

Share

As a young disabled adult who has experienced extensive surgery and hospitalization, I would want to control my own destiny if faced with a terminal illness. Prop. 161 is of concern to all adults, not just the elderly. The number of younger patients facing a miserable deaths has increased dramatically with the prevalence of AIDS. Prop. 161 would give all who are terminally ill the chance to die with dignity and pride. The safeguards written into the law will prevent abuses and, at the same time, the law respects the wishes of the terminally ill.
