FCC Chairman Has Surgery

WASHINGTON —
Federal Communications Commission Chairman Alfred Sikes underwent surgery Thursday to remove a tumor on his prostate, the FCC said in a statement. Sikes, 52, was expected to recover completely but will not return to his office until the end of November, the FCC said. The surgery was conducted at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md.
