Top Pick Walt Williams Signs With Sacramento

Walt Williams, the Sacramento Kings’ No. 1 draft choice and the seventh pick overall, reached agreement with the Kings and signed a contract reportedly covering six years and worth $13.5 million.
Williams, 6 feet 8, from the University of Maryland, was expected to be in uniform at the Kings’ final exhibition game tonight in Toronto against the Chicago Bulls. Williams missed training camp and five exhibition games.
