David Bohm; Quantum Physicist and Author

David Bohm, 74, a quantum physicist and author who sought to explain the discipline to a broader audience. Bohm was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., who moved to England in 1957. He was a professor of theoretical physics from 1961 to 1983 at the University of London and previously taught at Princeton University, the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, at Bristol University and at the Technion in Haifa, Israel. In addition to the book “Wholeness and the Implicate Order,” Bohm wrote “Causality and Chance in Modern Physics” and “Wholeness and Order: Cosmos and Consciousness.” In London on Tuesday of a heart attack.
