Paul Mullings has been named president of First Interstate Mortgage Co., the Pasadena-based residential mortgage subsidiary of First Interstate Bank of California, Los Angeles.

He previously was an executive vice president and manager of retail banking operations for Glendale Federal Bank, the fourth-largest savings and loan in the country.

Mullings will oversee mortgage originations in California, but he will also be responsible for mortgage servicing for all four of First Interstate’s regions, which cover 13 Western states.
