Proposition 161

Share

The debate on the Hedgecock show between a member of the medical profession and one of the authors of Proposition 161 reminded me of the not-too-distant past when information about birth control was given to husbands to share with their wives only if they wished, when knowledge of your imminent death was withheld from you to “keep you comfortable,” and when the choice of whose life to save, the mother’s or the baby’s was left in the hands of the doctor.

When will the medical profession allow adults to make their own decisions? Thank goodness for those doctors who help patients make their own informed choices. Prop. 161 will allow you to do just that. Don’t lose your chance to help people control their own lives.
