U.S. Policy on Immigration
In your editorial, nowhere did you mention the most effective method to protect our southern border: Send part of the 500,000 U.S. troops that protect the borders of West Germany, South Korea, Japan and other nations to our border. Certainly, 5,000 or so could be spared to protect our own frontier.
America accepts 1 million immigrants legally a year, which is more than any other country. The influx of another million or more illegals is stressing our environment, schools and social services to the breaking point. The majority of citizens feel that massive numbers of low-income illegal aliens are taking the jobs and social benefits that the homeless and minority citizens desperately need.
I have observed in the majority of your editorials your views are slanted to the position of the pro-alien groups and big businesses whose funding supports the cheap labor that illegal aliens bring.
