British Airways Sees No Job Losses in USAir Deal: British Airways’ chief executive, Sir Colin Marshall, said a proposed $750-million deal with USAir Group Inc. should not result in any job losses. “On the contrary, we see it as more likely that we will preserve jobs,” Marshall said in Montreal. Under terms of the deal, which still must be approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation, British Airways would take a 44% stake in money-losing USAir in return for a $750-million cash infusion.
