Jon E. Forbes has joined Hughes Aircraft Co. as a vice president, heading up the commercial aviation products and services businesses of the newly formed Commercial/Industrial Sector and will report to Hughes Chairman and Chief Executive C. Michael Armstrong, who is acting president of the sector.

Before joining Hughes, Forbes was president of the Forbes Group, a Dallas-based consulting organization.
