The National Hispanic Media Coalition plans to fight the Federal Communications Commission’s approval of the sale of the Univision TV network and its nine Spanish-language station affiliates. The coalition will take its challenge to a U.S. appellate court in Washington, Chairwoman Esther Renteria said. The coalition objects to the presence of two foreign investors among the purchasing parties, including Televisa, owned by Mexican media baron Emilio Azcarraga, and a Venezuela-based communications concern.
