Diocese Lawsuit

Share

Contrary to your (Oct. 23) article, the Diocese of San Diego has not been ordered to pay any money to Elizabeth Gorsich. She has a verdict in the case, but not a judgment. University of San Diego High School flatly denies that it ever practiced the discrimination alleged by Ms. Gorsich. The school did not fire Ms. Gorsich because she was a woman, but because, without notice to the school administration, she failed to teach her classes for the last two weeks of the school year in order to vacation in Europe. The diocese will use every avenue of legal redress open to it in order to prevent this perversion of justice from actually being inflicted on the students and staff of University of San Diego High School.
