From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Iraqi nuclear experts refused to release a list of foreign companies that helped build Saddam Hussein’s nuclear weapons program, a U.N. official said. “They are trying to hide the information,” Dimitri Perricos, leader of a 32-member U.N. team, said after meeting with Iraqi officials. The U.N. team, which arrived Sunday in Baghdad, is part of an effort to destroy Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction under the U.N. cease-fire that ended the 1991 Persian Gulf War.
