Haitians Arrested After Sailing to Florida Beach

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. —
Twenty-eight Haitians apparently made it to a Florida beach in a wooden sailboat and were taken into custody by the Border Patrol, authorities said.
None of the Haitians found Saturday night were seriously injured, said Coast Guard Petty Officer Toni Long. “They were basically just standing there on the beach in a crowd,” she said.
