ROCKY’S KNOCKOUT: Should the female go through a parade of biannual contraceptive procedures when the male can have a vasectomy? The Santa Ana Zoo says no. . . . So Tucson, its mountain lion due for a new contraceptive insert, will be spared. On Friday, her brother Rocky goes under the knife. “The male just has to be knocked down once,” explains zoo general curator Connie Sweet. The 14-year-olds are the zoo’s only large cats.
