On the Move: Catherine Crier, the one-time Texas judge who left the bench to become a CNN anchor in 1989, is pulling up stakes again. Crier has been hired as a correspondent for ABC’s “20/20,” beginning after the first of the year. “I’m sad and thrilled at the same time--I think these are two extraordinary news organizations,” Crier said Monday. “I felt it was important for me to get into the field as a correspondent, which is what the position at ABC will offer me.” Crier’s future at ABC is also likely to include occasional substituting for Peter Jennings on “World News Tonight” and Ted Koppel on “Nightline.” Crier recently co-anchored CNN’s campaign coverage and has been the host for “Crier and Co.,” a CNN talk show featuring female policy experts.
