Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc. announced the appointment of Dale A. Christy as vice president of systems development.

Christy is responsible for new systems development, maintaining current systems and meeting the company’s future systems requirements.

Christy, 49, has served as divisional vice president of development since April, 1991. He joined Carter Hawley Hale in 1983 as director of EDP audit.

The Los Angeles-based retailer operates 87 stores under the names of Broadway, Broadway Southwest, Emporium and Weinstocks.
