Joint Venture Falls Through: PCC Group Inc., a Brea maker and distributor of personal computer products, said Monday that it has broken off talks with Profit Technology Inc. of Boca Raton, Fla., about forming a new computer peripherals business.

The joint venture would have operated as Rodime Systems USA Inc. to build and market hard disk drives for Apple Computer’s Macintosh line. Rodime was to have been owned 51% by PCC and 49% by Profit Technology through its Louisiana subsidiary, MIND Training Systems Inc.

PCC said it withdrew from the negotiations because of changing market conditions.
