Classes to Focus on Water Resources
Students in classrooms nationwide will get lessons on the importance of water as part of the National Geographic Society’s National Geography Awareness Week through Friday.
This year’s theme, “Geography: Reflections on Water,” is particularly suited to California, which may be facing its seventh year of drought.
On Wednesday students will be encouraged to wear blue ribbons, arm bands or T-shirts that relate to geography and water to call attention to the vital role of this limited resource.
