Northwest Airlines Reportedly May Get Credit Line: Bankers Trust Co. is leading a syndicate of banks working to assemble a $300-million credit line to help the ailing carrier avoid a bankruptcy filing while it tries to complete its merger with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the New York Times reported in today’s editions. The airline is depleting its cash reserves to stay afloat.
