No Love at First Bite?
Based on Coppola’s insistence that “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” does not include a scene “crosscutting a decapitation with someone slicing roast beef,” it appears that he himself never saw the final cut of the film; that scene certainly was in the “Dracula” that I saw on opening night.
Coppola would be wise to himself take the advice that he gave Film Clips contributor Jane Galbraith, and not base public, written comments on “incomplete, early preview” cuts of his films.
