No Love at First Bite?
Coppola, like Robert Altman before him, is a man of considerable talent and vociferous appetites, with a wealth of peaks and valleys to mark a notable career. Still, a man with skin this thin might well be struck dead by the common cold. Or perhaps a glass of wine not quite properly chilled (Letters, Nov. 8).
If his product were always equal to his prodigious pre-release hyperbole, perhaps he would be less inclined to rage against journalists who are simply trying to create heat where there might eventually be no fire.
