Paging Joel Silver
Here’s some advice how Fox can solve its “Die Hard 3” problems and knock off another inevitable sequel at the same time (Film Clips, Nov. 1):
On yet another ill-fated Christmas vacation, Bruce Willis is separated from his family and befriends a lost child, the chronically abandoned Macaulay Culkin. They join forces to battle ruthless-yet-bumbling terrorists (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Alan Rickman) who have seized control of (choose one: a rocket ship, a bowling alley, the world’s largest escalator).
John Hughes could probably crank out a script on his lunch hour.
I’ll take an associate producer credit, please.
