Affordable-Housing Plan Up for Review

Share

The City Council will convene a public hearing Tuesday to discuss the city’s new affordable-housing plan.

Among the goals set in the 1993 Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy are the rehabilitation of existing single- and multifamily housing units, and assistance programs to encourage construction of low- and moderate-income housing.

The city has to submit the document to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by Dec. 31 to be eligible for funding for various housing proposals.

The hearing will be at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 8650 California Ave.
