Bush Makes It Official: Thursday Thanksgiving

WASHINGTON —
President Bush signed the annual Thanksgiving Day proclamation Friday, offering thanks “for the demise of imperial communism and for the current harvest of liberty throughout the world.”
The proclamation officially designates Nov. 26 as a national day of thanksgiving. Bush urged Americans “to offer thanks to the Almighty for the many blessings” bestowed on individuals and the nation.
