Next in Line: The Swedish Film Institute has nominated “Anglagard” (“Angel Manor”) for the best foreign language film Oscar to replace “The Best Intentions.” The latter film was declared ineligible by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences because it appeared on Swedish television as a series before being released as a feature film in other countries. “Anglagard” is about a city girl who inherits a manor house in a traditional Swedish village. It was directed by Colin Nutley, an Englishman who has made several films in Sweden.
